80 years of the Biological Museum

The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of biodiversity conservation in Kazakhstan and adjacent territories in nature and in collections" has started at KazNU.

The event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 80th anniversary of the Biological Museum of the Kazakh National University. al-Farabi.

The Biological Museum is a research and educational center providing assistance in the training of biological specialists: PhD, undergraduates and bachelors. The museum plays a special role in the educational and upbringing process, in the cultural life of sovereign Kazakhstan. Collected bit by bit, the history of university creation is imbued with the enthusiasm of young people and the wisdom of mentors, powerful energy of knowledge and the power of thought.

Scientists and experts from different countries take part in the conference. As part of the event, a round table "Problems of preserving rare and endangered animals on the example of the gray monitor lizard" was held. The cultural program includes a tour of the biomuseum, a ceremonial opening of the new exposition of the biological museum "Horses of Prozewalski".
